Crieff Highland Gathering Trust

Pupils and staff from Crieff High School receive their t shirts

Crieff Highland Gathering has agreed to fund Crieff High School for the Skye Project to enable the students and helpers to follow and research the routes taken by the past Drovers.

£550 has been donated to cover the fuel costs of the expedition plus t-shirts for all the students and helpers to wear during their journey.

Crieff Highland Gathering made the donation from their charitable trust which was set up for the people of Crieff and Strathearn to promote and advance the education in Scottish and Highland culture, history and geneology.

The Trust has donated more than £5,000 to the people of Crieff and Strathearn including such things as the purchase of musical instruments, dancing uniforms, kilt outfits, heavyweight practice equipment as well as contributions to pipe bands.

Although the Crieff Highland Gathering has some monies in the charitable trust, it has found it increasingly difficult to cover the annual cost of running the Games in the last few years, and hope that the people and businesses will support the 2010 Games with donations and sponsorship.
