Crieff Highland Gathering Ltd were delighted to welcome O2 as main sponsors of the 2008 Gathering. We are indebted to many local businesses who provide various levels of sponsorship which help with the overall cost of running the Gathering, including prizes and prize money for events. Crieff has held the only official Scottish Heavyweight Championship for a very long time in association with the Scottish Games Association. This is an expensive event to run and requires a good purse to sustain the best heavyweight entries. Sponsors' generosity is recognised accordingly in the Gathering's programme and they receive entry, grandstand, refreshment and/or lunch tickets as appropriate. Major sponsors who are associated with particular events will also be recognised by the commentator, and have the opportunity to advertise around the arena.
