Crieff Highland Gathering is thrilled to announce three music acts set to take the stage on Sunday 17th August 2025 — and it's shaping up to be a truly unforgettable day of live Scottish music, proudly supported by Heartland FM.
Taking centre stage this year will be three exceptional acts, each bringing their own unique energy and sound to the Games field:
- TheRollin’ Drones – the Glasgow-based bagpipe-pop pioneers founded by renowned pipers Mike Farrel and Greg McAllister. Known for their high-octane fusion of traditional tunes and modern beats, the band has wowed audiences from NYC Tartan Week to the Six Nations and are currently promoting their latest album The Twa Keys.
- Calum MacPhail – accordionist, singer-songwriter, and founding member of Hò-rò, Calum is quickly rising as one of Scotland’s most exciting young musicians. With a powerful blend of trad, folk, and country influences, his solo work, including chart-topping single Oh My Darlin’, has captured hearts and packed out venues across the country.
- Peat & Diesel – headlining this year’s music programme, the wildly popular trio from Stornoway are set to bring their trademark Hebridean humour, storytelling, and crowd-pleasing anthems to Crieff. Following their incredible sold-out shows across the UK — including #Peatlemania at Glasgow’s Emirates Arena — this will be one for the history books.
Crieff Highland Gathering Chair Norman O’Neill said:
“We’re hugely proud to unveil this year’s music line-up. The combination of local talent and national stars like Peat & Diesel reflects everything we want Crieff Highland Gathering to be — a celebration of Scottish culture, music and community. We’re incredibly grateful to Heartland FM for their continued support, and we’re excited to bring these brilliant acts to Crieff this August. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic day.”
HeartlandFM continues to play a vital role in supporting the Gathering’s live music offering, helping showcase the best of Scottish talent. The Gathering is also in discussion with potential sponsors to further support this year’s music programme.
