Time to Tartan Up The Town!

The Crieff Highland Gathering is calling on local businesses to help dress the town in tartan this August. There’s a £200 prize and a trophy for the best shop window display!

We’re calling on Crieff’s brilliant businesses and shopkeepers to help tartan up the town this August, with the chance to win £200 and the coveted CHG trophy.

As part of the build-up to Crieff Highland Gathering, all local shops and offices are invited to decorate their front windows with a tartan or Highland Games theme. Think cabers, kilts and clan colours. The bolder, the better.

The competition begins on Thursday 1 August. In the week before Games Day (17 August), the Chieftain will tour the town to judge the entries. The winning shop will receive £200, a certificate to display, and the Tartan Up the Town trophy to keep for the year.

Last year’s winner was J.L. Gill. Can you take the title in 2025?

Let’s fill Crieff with tartan this August.
