Beloved local nurse Katrina Cowie has been announced as Chieftain for the 2025 Crieff Highland Games.
We’re delighted to announce that Katrina Cowie, a beloved local nurse, has been named Chieftain of the 2025 Crieff Highland Games, taking place on Sunday, 17th August at Market Park.
Katrina is widely known and deeply respected across Crieff, having dedicated an extraordinary 50 years to nursing, with more than four decades spent caring for our community. As Senior Practice Nurse at Crieff Medical Centre, she has provided compassion, kindness, and reassurance to countless families in the area, making a lasting impact on generations of local residents.
Chairman Norman O’Neill said: “There won’t be many people in Crieff who haven’t sought Katrina’s help or advice at some point. It’s an honour and privilege to recognise her outstanding contribution to our community by appointing her as Chieftain of this year’s Games.”
In her role as Chieftain, Katrina will help promote the event throughout the coming months, judge the popular 'Tartan Up the Town' competition, lead the pipe band parade on the day itself, officially open the Games, and take the prestigious Chieftain’s Salute during the spectacular Massed Pipe Bands finale.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to celebrate with us on what promises to be an unforgettable day!
